What I got…
It’s time to show off the lovelies I bought at Craftstravaganza!
It was between this and Crabby Pants, but this was deemed far more practical. It’s bugs. That stack. Made out of flannel. A word to the wise, however: this toy, if given as a present, should not be opened around a bunch of middle aged women. They have dirty minds. As a side note, I’d give my left arm for an adult sized pair of crabby pants. Okay, maybe just my left pinky or something. But I really, really want crabby pants.
The second I saw Orange Rhino I knew I had to have their onesies. I also was kind of bummed that they only sell childrens clothes. Honestly, people, grown ups want uber cute clothes too… But what I liked best about them is that the clothing is gender neutral. There’s no “flowers on pink” or “trucks on blue.” Their blue onesies would be great for a boy or a girl. Their designs (save, perhaps, the flowery bird) don’t scream one gender or another.
I purchased this one in brown. And as we discovered when Rocketdog opened her present, it goes perfectly with this pair of pants I purchased on Etsy from littleoliveclothing a month ago–AND in the correct corresponding sizes! I rule!
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
If you missed the fun of Craftstravaganza, you can still catch Silver Pear Designs: Artistic Edition, Danger Kitty Designs, The Cozy Corset Cuff at Handmaidens Spring Fling this Sunday.
We’ll be in the basement (where the raffle box is stationed, so don’t miss that!) directly across from the door and next to our dear friends from Creative Sundries. The theme this time around is Prom, which I’m actually quite excited for. I was considering wearing my old prom dress, but I think I will just wear a dress, dress. Or maybe a skirt. You’ll have to come in order to find out!
You can pick up cards for the raffle at the sale, or from our table. Every vendor is donating an item, so each winner is bound to get some really awesome stuff!
ZOMG–heaven.
When I’m not sewing, I like to make food. Sometimes I take pictures of the food I make because I have secret dreams of being a world famous food blogger. Those pictures rarely make it onto the interwebs. Today is a special day, however. Today I have discovered the most delicious food ever.
They LOOK like ordinary pancakes, but looks can be deceiving. Inside those golden morsels are tiny nuggets of banana. After watching millions of pancakes made on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives last night, I knew I needed to find a recipe for banana pancakes, and find one I did.
It was really hard to wait until morning for these. I woke up before my alarm–which actually has more to do with the sun than the pancakes, but it made me ready to make pancakes earlier–and I was down making pancakes before 8:00.
The amount of pancakes this recipe made more than filled the cookie sheet. At this point I had already eaten two, and I was planning on eating more. In fact, I’ve had my third, and I’m considering another one. These puppies don’t need syrup. Which is awesome, because I’m not a huge fan of syrup–I put it on my pancakes so they are a little sweeter and not as dry. These are sweet and moist and… Well, let’s let the picture speak for itself:
