Coming to a Blog Near You!
At Larue’s urging, I will be participating in the May Give-Away Day on Sew, Mama, Sew.
I have an idea of what I will be giving away, but I’ve got a little less than two weeks to completely change my mind.
I’m into secrets lately…
Woeful Wednesday went me a link to a Mystery Post Sew Along at Lola Again. Being a bag maker and also someone who apparently needs divine intervention to get her ass sewing again, I’ve decided to take the opportunity to play along.
I pretty much have everything on the supplies list, so we’re good to go. I wonder if I will be able to anticipate what the bag will look like. It sounds like it’s going to be bigish, which is good. I’ve been meaning to make myself a big bag. I will probably end up making myself two big bags, though, because I have a design of my own I want to try.
Don’t forget! Sunday is the last day to sign up for my giveaway game.
A long time coming…
And by that I mean a week.
MN Etsy Team member SkylarkDawn posted on her blog a little meme I’ve been wanting to put up, and I figured there was no time like the present:
Requirements ♥
You have to be crafty and willing to make and ship three handmade gifts
You must have a blog that you post to regularly
Here’s how it works ♥
I will randomly select three people to receive a handmade gift set from me. Those selected will then have to post this game on their blog, offering a handmade item(s) of their own to three people and so on. The gifts will likely be random, but if I decide on a set gift, I will announce it here.
To enter ♥
Leave a comment with your name and blog by March 1st.
Coming soon: An actual post about something actually creative. However, see the other blog to find out why I’m so incommunicato.
X-Mas X-Post!
My present to myself today (you know, other than the new sewing machine… *whistles innocently*(*cough* and the crock pot*cough*)) is to go easy on the blogging. So I’m cross posing, suckas!
Merry Christmas to all my readers and anyone who happens to stumble on this mess. I hope you eat your fill and get everything you wanted and nothing you didn’t. I also hope you get many pleasant surprises, because those are the best.
From my ipod
I feel like I need to switch all my blogging over to wordpress just so I can blog from my iPod whenever the moment catches me. Sadly, it’s something I’m actually considering.
Does this qualify as a sickness?
Empty promises are better than an empty cookie jar…
I know I said I would update this with pictures of everything I’ve been working on. I haven’t. I haven’t even taken pictures of what I’ve been working on. I mean to, really I do. And I know it would take but a second. But I just keep letting it slip away. Seriously. You will be let in on the great secrets of what I’ve been creating. Someday.
Until then, look at this pretty depiction of the words I use on this blog! (care of Wordle and Christine)
Apparently I’ve used the word soap a lot. That reminds me… I need to buy some more soap.
Anyone know blog CPR?
I finally got my memory card, so I can catch up on all the pictures I’ve wanted to take. This means showing off the projects I’ve been working on and getting new photos of my products so that I can once again list in my Etsy shop after nearly a year of neglect. It is now more important than ever that I really focus on selling, and after my last trip to I Like You, I feel confident that my work isn’t half bad.
There are also a lot of ideas rattling around in the ol’ noggin, and I feel obligated to start working on them like a fiend. So many ideas, absolutely no time whatsoever.
Since I have to work today, and I’m going out with a friend afterward, I shall leave you with this photo to whet your appetite for the goodness to come:
When life gives you lemons…
While lurking in the fora the other day, I came across a really interesting post. Heatherfuture was talking about her latest adventures, and posted a link to her blog.
Project Lemon was received with a great interest from the Etsy crowd. So much so, that Heather has started an entirely new blog to feature any Etsy seller (or blogger, I suppose) that documents any random acts of kindness they enact. As you can see, the acts of kindness are already starting to pour in.
My buddies and I have a plan of our own in the works. As soon as this run of craft sales is over, we’re going to throw ourselves into it. Etsy Acts of Kindness is icing on the cake–as soon as I read about Project Lemon, I emailed my friends to get the hamster wheels turning.
I’ll leave you with this lovely item from HeatherFuture… Just one of the many gems in her Etsy shop:
Where have all the treasuries gone?
A few months ago, Etsy once again changed their limits on treasuries. Now whenever I go to the treasury application, there are no fewer than 20 pages to sift through. I just don’t have time anymore to look through 415 treasuries until I find the one that strikes my fancy.
I will try to bring back the artist feature segments, but that too requires work. I will see, however, what I can do about it.
